Save as many Souls as possible
Therese always did everything she could to save every little soul. Remember, she managed to convert the criminal Pranzini before he was executed. There is a simple prayer that will help 1 000 souls each time it is said: Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. AMEN. Offer sacrifices of the conversion of sinners, remember all the sacrifices the Fatima Children made at the request of Our Mother.
Be as poor as possible
Give up all your belongings and follow Christ. Remember Therese gave up her possesions so she could devote her life to Christ. Therese once had a basket that was falling apart. A kind nun wrapped a piece of velvet, soft side out, around it to strengthen it. Therese flipped the velvet, soft side in, because she liked the soft side. She flipped it because it would make her poorer, in a way. Remember when you are poorer, you are actually very much richer.
Be a spiritual child.
Imagine this: Spiritually, you are a child. God is your Father. It is in Him that you put full trust, Him that you put all your efforts in to reaching. Life is a staircase, and at the top, in Heaven, your Father awaits. You abandon your free will, and trust God as you trust your father.

Matthew 6:25 - 34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat (or drink), or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil."

Suffering is beautiful.
For Saint Therese, suffering is a beautiful gem, with which she would put full effort into reaching. Now you ask, why would she want to suffer? The answer is simple, and beautiful. Because it meant becoming closer to God, it meant doing something to prove her love to God. She was willing to experience every suffering, large or small, that He sent her way. That's why it becomes a jewel in the crown, a diamond on the dress. That way, when she died, her soul would be a dazzling show of love for God when she reached Heaven.
